Pedigrees give the ancestry and breeding of the rabbit. A pedigree is particularly important when the breeder plans a mating in understanding what colours may occur in the litter.

Pedigrees are given with any angoras sold by most breeders who belong to the National Angora Club. They have been use for many years now. They give the buyer certain info necessary to keeping colours as true as possible.

Each pedigree contains the date of birth, sex, colour, parents and grandparents. These are also listed with their colour, either in the form of the colour or dark- meaning smoke, pearly – brown grey, Frostie -white.
